Tourism Minister Elie Marouni said on Tuesday that around 2.3 million people would visit Lebanon by the end of this year. But the minister stressed that a big chunk of these visitors are Lebanese living abroad. He added that the aim is to drive this number up to 3 million in the near future, which will increase the tourism sector's contribution.
